When do train tickets go on sale?

• there may be other flights with tickets purchased 120 days in advance, depending on the season and/or other factors

In 90 days they start selling tickets for long-distance trains on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as in the direction of Finland and Abkhazia.

In 60 days (according to local time), the sale of tickets for trains passing through Moscow in the direction of the far abroad, CIS and Baltic countries will start.

The same rules apply to the following flights:

• No. 328/327 Minsk — Kazan;
• No. 308/307 Baranovichi — Saratov;
• No. 249/250 Minsk — Saint Petersburg.

45 days before the train leaves at 8 o'clock Moscow time, the sale of tickets for trains going from the Russian Federation to:

• Tajikistan;
• CIS countries;
• Uzbekistan;
• Estonia;
• Latvia;
• Lithuania.

10 days before departure, a sale of tickets for suburban trains is launched.

When purchasing tickets, there is an opportunity to save money and quite well. The lowest price happens at the start of sales; in the future it can increase significantly - it depends on the filling capacity of the cars and the remaining time before departure.

What to do when there are no train tickets in the required direction?

Do not despair and continue to monitor the appearance of tickets in the application or on the website, as additional cars may be attached to the train, or someone's plans will change and the delivered tickets will go on sale. 

If you have time, then you can pay attention to neighboring dates and make adjustments to travel plans.

It is worth comparing the prices of air tickets and rail, as sometimes the cost differs slightly, and the flight is more convenient and faster than by train. Airlines sometimes hold promotions and in this case it is even more profitable to fly by plane. 

How do I book a train ticket?

On the website, you can choose the direction of interest, place and pay for the order as soon as possible. The system reserves the selected seats for 15 minutes, after this time, if the tickets are not paid, the seats are again available for free sale.

To purchase tickets on the website, original passports and birth certificates are not required, it is enough to fill out the proposed form carefully.
