Cars are different: luxury, SV, mixed, restaurant, with seating, international communication and others. It all depends on the class of service, composition and message. We will talk about this another time, today we will raise the topic of unusual wagons that have been running on the routes of Russian railways for some time. It wasn't so easy to find out about some of them, so don't judge if we missed something, but write about it in the comments. In the following reviews and articles, we will take this into account.
One of the bright and memorable cars was the "Ikeevsky". From February 17 to March 6, 2019, the Ikea advertising car was part of the branded Grand Express train, which runs between Moscow and St. Petersburg. Of course, it was a marketing campaign under the slogan "Sleep better". No drastic changes were made, only cosmetic. Externally, the car was repainted in the company's brand colors. And Ikea designer Margot Lefikaite turned each compartment into a cozy room with the help of the store's products. High mattresses, textiles, rugs, slippers, decorative pillows, rails for clothes and other small things for comfort.
The goal of the project was not to sell more products, but to tell about the right and good sleep, as well as what influences it. The railway carriage is only part of the experiment, proving that you can also have a good rest on the way. Would you take a ride in such a carriage? Who gets enough sleep without textiles in the compartment?Of course, many of these kind of unusual wagons are part of marketing, or participants in public projects. For example, a donor car. JSC "Russian Railways" is one of the partners of the All-Russian campaign "Stop HIV/AIDS». In addition to the fact that testing takes place at train stations during the campaign, special cars are specially organized for anonymous passing of the test. And in 2017, a special train was held as part of the campaign. The preventive laboratory traveled from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg in 24 regions. In addition, passengers of trains where such cars were located could contact it and find out about their HIV status for free. We wrote more about the action and events that are held on the railway earlier.
In addition, we have already talked about the car-temples. The article told more about those cars that are decommissioned and not on the move. It is also worth adding that even hotels are made of wagons. And the idea of creating a mobile railway temple was born at the end of the 19th century. The main purpose of the church cars was that passengers of long-distance trains could attend services on the way, and church relics were also transported in them. Even cars of this kind were in demand in those localities where there were no temples, so ordinary citizens could go and pray in this car while the train was parked. And even in the 21st century, church wagons left several times on common routes.
Returning to the topic of health, there is a "Health wagon". As stated on the official website of JSC "Russian Railways" - this is a new format of travel for older people: "wellness + communication + travel". That is, a tourist car with a cultural and entertainment program, with accommodation in a sanatorium, and most importantly, it is safe. There is a group of 20 people and one accompanying person in the car, so if you are worried about your parents, then they keep everything under control and there will be no strangers in the car. Routes on which such a car exists: Ulyanovsk, Samara, Ufa, Saratov, Saratov, Samara, Penza, Samara, Samara, Samara.
Similar in principle there is a "Wagon of knowledge". From September to May, schoolchildren can go on an exciting trip on it. Interactive program, familiarity with neighboring regions, safety (a medical worker follows the route on the train). Routes from one to four days. For children, this is also the experience of traveling without parents (if they are not accompanying), as well as gaining knowledge in a different format. But the list of routes is small, at the moment it is as follows: Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Veliky Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Balakhna, Moscow, Yaroslavl, Moscow, PenzaSamara – Penza, Penza – Togliatti – Penza, Samara – Kazan – Samara, Samara – Penza – Samara, Samara – Ufa – Samara, Samara – Saratov – Samara, Samara &Moscow – Samara, Samara – Kazan – Samara, Saratov – Samara – Saratov, Saratov – Volgograd – Saratov, Ufa – Samara – Ufa, Ulyanovsk – Ulyanovsk, Yaroslavl &Moscow – Yaroslavl, Moscow – Yaroslavl – Moscow.
