RAILWAY NEWS FOR APRIL 2022
- The team of railway workers took the entire podium at the "Ski Track of Russia", which took place on March 26 in Aldan. In the finals of the traditional races, mass and sports, they showed the best result in their age category. The winners received the insignia of gold, silver and bronze. Their owners are entitled to one-time payments of up to 10 000 rubles. The "AK" team also became the best according to the results of passing the TRP standards.
- The additional train No. 196 running in the direction of Moscow – Simferopol in order to strengthen passenger communication with southern cities of Russia will be extended until April 10. A request has also been sent to extend the route for the May holidays. In conditions of increased demand, JSC "Russian Railways" takes prompt measures and increases trains, supplementing them mainly with reserved cars, which allow transporting a larger number of passengers. Tickets are already on sale.
- A new station "Minsk" has appeared on the MCD-4. The opening was attended by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and CEO – Chairman of the Board of JSC "Russian Railways" Oleg Belozerov. Electric trains stop at the new station from April 4. The stop has one platform and is equipped with a 20-meter canopy that protects passengers from precipitation on the way to the nearest metro station. There is an elevator and 2 escalators to descend from the platform. Facilities are provided for passengers with limited mobility. Soon the station will be equipped with additional platforms with access to the overpass of the Kiev direction.
