10 years of "Peregrine Falcon": what will change for passengers?

It's hard to believe, but 10 years have passed since the departure of the first "Peregrine Falcon" train. The first flight departed on December 17, 2009 from Moscow to St. Petersburg, becoming the fastest train between the two capitals. Only airplanes compete with it, from which the train took away part of the passenger traffic. In addition, from the time of the first train to the present, the travel time has been reduced to 25 minutes. JSC "Russian Railways" presented an updated interior of the train in honor of this event.

The first «updated» trains have already made their first flight. The usual blue-and-white interiors were replaced by beige-brown shades. But not only the color scheme has improved the composition. Now each seat has an outlet and two USB ports, which will be a joy for passengers working on the way. In addition, each car now has a water cooler. For passengers traveling with children, additional amenities have also appeared: a changing table and a place for strollers. A children's car has appeared, where a small passenger can play, communicate with other children, read books, or play consoles. And at this time, the parent will be able to rest on the way.

Of course, all improvements were based on the wishes of passengers. But not everything can be included in the new compositions. New interiors on the existing 16 trains will be updated within two years. At the same time, there will be no external changes. The service increases, while the price of the train remains the same as the travel time. In the future, the speed of movement will almost double, from 250 to 400 kilometers per hour. This will happen after the high-speed railway is built. New routes are also planned. And by the autumn of 2022, there will be 13 new compositions of "Peregrine Falcon".

It was thanks to the "Peregrine Falcon" that high-speed traffic came to Russia for the first time. And every year Russian Railways tries to reduce travel time for passengers and improve service.
