RAILWAY NEWS FOR JULY 2022
- Holidays are a happy time. But the children of railway workers are not always happy about this event, especially if it means the end of the shift "waiting". The children went to the festive reporting concert dedicated to this event with sadness. After all, they had to say goodbye to their friends, with whom they had spent a whole month together. During this time, they have experienced so many adventures, and now the shift has come to an end. The brightest, curious and hardworking participants received well-deserved awards, and the counselors received words of gratitude. The parents did not disappoint either, they successfully coped with all the tasks, guessed everything and remembered. And the organizers of the creative shift have no time to be sad, they are already preparing to take under their wing new little "Zhdyashek".
- The freestyle wrestling tournament in two age categories for the prizes of JSC "AK" has been completed. Of the 586 young athletes, the strongest received well-deserved awards. It is noteworthy that athletes from other countries of Belarus, Mongolia and Kazakhstan also took part in the competition. Thus, the tournament had the status of an international one, which added to its significance, and the winners were proud of their victories. The best judge and the best coach were also awarded. Various prizes were awarded to participants for the best technique, the best throw, and a meaningful fight. This is the nineteenth such tournament, held for the first time after a 2-year break due to the pandemic.
- In July, the first high-speed "Swallow" set off from Nizhny Novgorod to Kirov. The new electric train carried 295 passengers. The solemn event on the launch of the route was honored with the presence of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Minister of Transport and Highways of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the first deputy head of the Gorky Railway, the head of the Directorate of High-speed Communication. The occupancy rate of the train was 90%, which indicates a high demand for the route. A decision has been made on the daily plying of the "Swallow" in this direction. The travel time will not exceed 5 hours. The train makes intermediate stops at Uren, Shakhunya and Kotelnich-1 stations.
- JSC «AK «Railway » summed up the results of the first half of 2022. There was an increase in cargo transportation indicators by 18% compared to the same period last year. Most of all transported coal, petroleum products, hardware, cargo in containers and other cargo. At the Nizhny Bestyakh station, an increase of last year's indicators by 21% was recorded.
- The Sapsan trains carried 50 million passengers. The lucky ticket was bought by Mikhail Hansburg. He was presented with a commemorative certificate of the 50 millionth passenger, a gift card "Peregrine Falcon" and other memorable gifts. The satisfied passenger noted the comfort of the train and the politeness of the conductors, independent of the class of the car. The popularity of "Peregrine falcons" is growing. Over the past six months, 2.6 million passengers used them, which is 5.4% more than in the same period of 2021.
- On July 6, a meeting was held at the Nizhny Bestyakh station dedicated to the plan for the delivery of goods to the republic. The results of the last half-year are marked. And although the results are positive, the participants noted some problems with cargo logistics during the closing and opening of the ice crossing. Measures have been taken to prevent such situations in the future. The head of the Railway transportation service spoke about the introduction of a new technology for cargo transportation at the Yakut railways landfill. The head of the logistics service asked the consignees to provide an updated schedule for the second half of the year to the transport service.
- The growth of passenger traffic in the cars of JSC "AK" railway" has been recorded at the level of 2.4% since the beginning of the year compared to the first half of last year. By the end of the year, this indicator is expected to increase due to the launch of a new passenger train Nizhny Bestyakh Blagoveshchensk. It will consist of cars of non-stop communication Vladivostok – Irkutsk.
- The route of the train «Swallow» No. 830/829 Adler – Anapa has been changed. Now the final station of the route is Sochi Airport. Such changes have been adopted for the convenience of passengers arriving in Sochi by plane. The route is daily, there are stops in the most popular tourist destinations of the Krasnodar Territory. The train consists of 10 cars equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable railway journey. Facilities are provided for persons with disabilities.
- During the days of the Ruskeala Symphony Festival, passengers from St. Petersburg will be transported by an additional train "Swallow". The route was developed by numerous requests of the festival participants. Departure dates are July 15 and 16. Discounts are provided for various categories of passengers.
- Tickets for a high-speed hydrofoil boat to Gorodets can now be purchased together with train tickets to Nizhny Novgorod in one order. Such a mixed tourist route allows travelers to see more, spending less time. The vessel "Valdai45R" will run from Nizhny Novgorod to Gorodets all summer. Train and boat tickets can be purchased together or separately. The ticket price already includes an excursion program «Open-air Museum ».
- In the Tula region, due to the fault of third parties, on July 16, there was a derailment of 12 freight cars. One of the likely culprits of the incident died. In connection with the incident, the routes of some passenger trains have been changed and traffic on the Uzlovaya-3 railway station has been suspended. Railway workers are making every effort to eliminate the consequences of the accident as soon as possible. The management of the Moscow Railway apologizes to passengers for the inconvenience.
- The consequences of the derailment of 12 freight cars on July 16 on the Uzlovaya-3 section were eliminated on one track. Train traffic has been restored. Trains are passed in both directions alternately. The restoration of infrastructure on the second path continues. 200 railway workers were involved in the work.
- New tourist loyalty programs are operating in the business halls at the train stations. Instead of Priority Pass and Lounge Key that have left the Russian market due to sanctions, passengers can take advantage of Persona.aero and Grey Wall Pass. To visit the business lounge, the passenger must present to the administrator a special QR code received during registration in the loyalty program. You can also buy an entrance ticket separately without registering. Special rates are provided for Priority Pass and Lounge Key loyalty program participants, which are valid upon presentation of the card.
- Since July 21, due to the growing demand, additional trains have been scheduled to the resort towns of the Kaliningrad region. They will run three times a week. Trains run through Lithuania without the right to board and disembark passengers in this country. No more than 250 passengers can travel in one train at the same time.
- In Aldan, 47 families of railway workers celebrate a housewarming party. On July 19, they received the keys to new apartments in a house built under the program of resettlement of citizens from dilapidated and dilapidated housing. The new five-storey building is located in the residential district Sunny. There is a developed infrastructure around. There are parking lots for cars and a playground. Officials of the republican level and the heads of JSC "AK"ZHDYA" came to congratulate the new settlers. By the end of the year, developers plan to hand over another residential building in the city of Aldan, five houses in the city of Tommot and another one in the village of Yakokit.
- Additional Swallows have been launched in the direction of Moscow and Yaroslavl. The train consists of 5 premium class cars. There are three classes of service and amenities for passengers with limited mobility. Discounts on travel are available for various categories of citizens.
- On July 25, the five millionth passenger of the train "Tavria" arrived in Simferopol. He became a resident of the city of Tambov, Sergey Nikolaevich. He was traveling with his wife and children. The owner of the happy anniversary ticket was met on the platform of Simferopol by representatives of the carrier company "Grand Service Express", heads of the Crimean Railway and officials of the region. The family was presented with a gift certificate for a free trip to the Crimea and back, tickets to the Dreamwood theme park and memorable gifts from the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- A new assistance point for disabled passengers has been launched at the Kazan railway station. It is located in the waiting room. This is a separate spacious hall with an area of 230 sq. m. meters. It has induction equipment for the hard of hearing, tactile-floor signs, pictograms and mnemonic circuits for the visually impaired. Special places are equipped for people traveling in wheelchairs. There are facilities even for guide dogs. And the service staff can provide a walker or wheelchair on request. Every day, about 50 passengers are served at the station, who need the help of employees, including escorts. The facilities for parents with young children have also been expanded; a separate room with a changing table, children's furniture, a TV and games has been equipped. By the end of the year, the same facilities will appear at the stations of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny.
- On July 27, at 03:16, due to mudflow, traffic was suspended on the Chemitokvadzhe section of the Anchor Gap. Emergency recovery work is being carried out. Long-distance passenger trains were delayed for several hours. 40 railway workers were involved in the work. 4 hours after the incident, traffic on this section was restored.
- The Spartakiad of JSC "AK ZHDYA" ended with the awarding of the winners. The best of the best came together in the final all-around and tug-of-war competitions. The results of the participants were included in the offset of the implementation of the TRP standards by the company's employees. The team members who climbed the podium were awarded certificates from the DNS store, cups and cash prizes. The winners were honored by the leaders and the trade union committee of JSC "AK" Railway", as well as representatives of the sports committee of the region.
