Border closures have greatly affected travelers, limiting their choice of destinations. But domestic tourism is actively developing. Recently, JSC "Russian Railways" has been actively introducing more and more new tourist routes. One of the last is from Moscow via Veliky Novgorod to Uglich and back to Moscow. The so-called weekend tour caused a lot of demand. Now a route is planned along the Silver Necklace of Russia.

Cultural and historical route «The Silver Necklace of Russia » can be called an analogue of the famous «Golden Ring ». That's just it passes in the north-west of the country and also passes through the ancient Russian lands. This list includes St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, as well as the Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Murmansk, Pskov, Novgorod regions, the Republic of Karelia and Komi. Tourists will also be interested if it is a weekend train, and ticket prices will be affordable.

Of course, you can go to the popular tourist cities of the Leningrad region by an ordinary train, or by the "Swallow" or the "Ruskeala Express", having made a trip in one day. Similar tourist routes with visits to several cities are circular. In this case, the "Silver Necklace" will begin and end in St. Petersburg. Residents and guests of the city will be able to visit more attractions, while they will not have to pay for the hotel separately. From the beginning to the end of the trip, passengers travel on the same train, spend the night on the train, walk in the afternoon at an intermediate point. This makes walking pleasant, since you don't have to carry a lot of things with you, you can leave them in their place in the car.
