Whether you know it or not, Russian Railways plans to change the design of electronic tickets for long-distance trains for the first half of 2020. There are no specific dates, but Artemy Lebedev's studio worked on it. And the new project is already available online and on the official website of the studio.
What is his "trick"? First of all, tickets should be clear and convenient. The most important thing catches your eye and you do not need to search for half an hour, at what time the departure is, from where and which car. All the information presented on the A4 sheet is visually divided into three blocks. One part is all about your departure and the purchased place, another block with your data, but the third one hooked us the most.
The third block takes up half of the ticket. By the way, it is convenient to fold it twice to put it in the passport and it is not necessary to unfold it entirely. Simply put, it will be convenient. So, the third block consists mainly of pictograms, where your class is indicated, what is included in the fare, information about the equipment of the car and paid services. It's all beautifully designed and will appear on the left side of the ticket, and on the right there will be a layout for passengers and luggage in the car. Moreover, this block will be as personal as possible. That is, schematically it will be indicated whether you have an upper shelf or a lower one, where you can put your luggage. And this information will also be spelled out. And even about who the table belongs to.
What got us hooked? The phrase "common table". Yes, it will be prescribed for passengers of reserved cars. Congratulations, the reserved seat wars are over. But wait, is it possible to sit on the bottom shelf, for those who chose the top one?
Earlier we wrote about the official response of Russian Railways on the topic of who can and cannot use the table and sit on the bottom shelf. And in short, the table has always been shared and it can be used by passengers, both lower and upper shelves. And you can only sit on the lower seats for passengers who have bought this seat, as well as those to whom the passenger will give his consent. In a word, you can get a refusal to sit down.
And what are we leading to? To the fact that in the first design of electronic tickets in the last block there was a postscript: "During the daytime it is allowed to sit on the bottom shelf" for passengers from above, and a request to let a passenger from above on the bottom shelf during the daytime. It was this information that spread across the network. And in a fairly short time, these phrases were removed and are not currently posted on the website of the Artemy Lebedev design studio.
The question that hung in the air: and what will be the final version of the ticket? Unfortunately, we cannot give such an answer until new tickets are introduced. But most likely, those that are on the studio's website and do not have phrases about daytime on the shelf will be taken as a basis.
Therefore, we suggest that you discuss the new ticket design. And also to reflect on why the phrase "In the daytime it is allowed to sit on the bottom shelf" was removed? Would it solve the eternal disputes between passengers, or on the contrary escalate them? Why don't they come up with clear rules so that the passengers of the upper shelves do not cause inconvenience to the passengers from below, while not giving up their comfort?
Well, we recommend that you respect your neighbors in the car and find a compromise in any situation. By the way, the new ticket design looks fresh and interesting against the background of the current one. Thank you for reading the article, support us and don't forget to like.
